Dexter Dolores, Interior Designer Extraordinaire!

Dexter Dolores… oooh, what a name it practically flows like melted butter! What can I say about this guy that hasn’t already been said time and time again in other publications like West Coast Homes & Design, Western Living, the Georgia Straight? Probably nothing new but ugh, CHALLENGE. ACCEPTED.

As Principal at Dexter Dolores Interiors (DDI), Dex specializes in residential design and takes on various projects located between British Columbia and Alberta. All of which, in my personal experience, offer an extraordinary balance between luxurious and cozy without coming across as too overdone. For example, some of you might or might not know this but one of his designs was showcased as a background for a particular movie that probably many of you fell in love with immediately. Can you guess which one? I’ll give you a hint…

That’s right friends! Your boy, Dexter Dolores, had his interior design featured in the Netflix Original: To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before! And let me tell you, as soon as we recognized the background, Dex became LEGEN-wait-for-it-DARY.

It was honestly such a surreal and exciting moment for him to see his work on TV and I firmly believe that the location scouts chose an amazing set to film some of their scenes.

After all, I mean, it’s Dexter Dolores Interiors: Spaces that perfectly reflect the fine line between luxurious and cozy for any and every life event.

Dex has always been passionate about all things creative and having worked with him as an interior stylist has been such an amazing journey (one of which I will get into in a later post, I promise!) that really delves deep into intentional design. Having worked in his industry for the last decade, Dex has successfully honed his talent in making any room become aesthetically pleasing, yet functional. And despite the fact that most of the decor that he typically sources is accessible to anyone, he always caters to his clients’ needs by adding a touch of comfortability and individuality. Traits that I very much admire in any artist.

With that said, you can learn more about Dexter and see his designs here and his Instagram: @dexdolores. Also, be sure to send him your design inquiries if you have any! He’s always happy to help out in any way he can :)
